If I could rate higher than five stars, I would. This place RULES. The food was phenomenal, the music was great, not too loud or quiet, but easy enough to have a conversation around it. The decor? Phenomenal. Couldn't ask for a better experience. The man serving, the owner, certainly looked the part of a pirate captain, was a great conversationalist. It was my first time going here, and we are DEFINITELY coming here again. Amazing experience.

Stopped by El Capitan's this weekend for a quick bite. It's been about a year since we stopped in the last time and it's gotten even better. There is a connected tap room and the vibe is awesome! Lots of plants everywhere, just like the other side, lots of color, and creative use of colored light. It feels relaxing and energizing at the same time. The food is always good and we left happy.

We've now visited a few times and we love El Capitan's excellent vegan / vegetarian hot dog options. All the "parts" were awesome - the dog, the toppings, and the soft bun. We also had cole slaw, french fries, ginger beer, and a Boundary Bay Scotch Ale. All were great. On a more recent visit we tried the soft serve vanilla ice cream and a root beer float, and I was surprised at how good the vanilla flavor was! Highly recommended! We were sad to leave Mustard's Last Stand in Boulder but we have found our new hot dog spot!

Owner Mark is awesome. Great place to chill. Yummy pretzels, soft serve and beer. Their new grilled cheeses on hot dog buns are yummy.

The worker on staff was pushing stuff out by himself while slammed. I wasn't bothered by the wait, but wanted to see him get some more support. Stellar work, chill atmosphere, good food. Would recommend to cool cats.

I went and got a classic hotdog and chili cheese fries, and the Captain of that ship runs a very tight and happy crew. Really enjoyed meeting the owner and hearing the story of local history and care!!
